Funded Kindergarten Program

We offer both three- and four-year-old funded kindergarten programs led by experienced teachers and educators. Our play-based program, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), supports children to learn through a balance of child-led and educator-guided experiences. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, engage in inquiry and problem solving, and build strong relationships through collaborative play. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we view children as capable and curious learners, with educators, families, and the environment working together to support their development. Our program nurtures each child’s sense of identity, wellbeing, and confidence, preparing them for a smooth and successful transition to school.

Our Funded Kindergarten programs are integrated within our long day care setting, with funded kindergarten delivered between 8:30am–4:00pm within our extended opening hours of 7:45am–6:00pm. Outside of the funded program hours, children participate in family grouping time, supporting flexible drop-off and pick-up and allowing opportunities for siblings to spend time together.

This integrated model offers many benefits, including flexible hours for families, a stronger sense of belonging, and deeper relationships with educators. Children have extended opportunities to build peer connections, engage in social learning, and revisit experiences to strengthen and extend their learning. The program also supports more indoor and outdoor play, along with unhurried time that balances educator-led learning and independent exploration.
